🏆 2nd place — Tag Ansvar Award 2025

Nominated for
the Tag Ansvar Award

In 2025, Lasse Møller and Phoenix Denmark were nominated for the Tag Ansvar Award in the Entrepreneurship category.

From more than 5,000 nominees, Phoenix Denmark advanced as one of only three finalists and achieved an impressive 2nd place.

Frederikssund Municipality nominated us because we actively help Ukrainian refugees enter the Danish labour market and give them the opportunity to build a new life.

Social responsibility

We take responsibility for our employees and our community

At Phoenix Denmark, running a company is about more than developing and manufacturing quality products. It is also about people.

We believe a strong company is built by people with diverse experiences, skills and backgrounds. Therefore, we work purposefully to create a workplace where there is room for diversity and where each employee has the opportunity to contribute, develop and become part of a strong community.

We are not the largest, but we aim to be the best.

From internship to permanent employment

Since February 2024, Phoenix Denmark has maintained close cooperation with municipalities to help Ukrainian refugees into the Danish labour market.

When we need new staff, we contact our municipal partners who help us find relevant candidates. From there the path can go through an interview and an internship or training period with a clear goal of permanent employment when the right match is found.

95%

of the Ukrainians we've taken through interviews and internship programmes have subsequently been employed at Phoenix Denmark.

For us, it is about far more than a high employment rate. It is about giving people who have had to leave their homes the chance to create a new and stable everyday life with work, colleagues, responsibility and community.

A workplace people recommend to others

At first, contact with many of our Ukrainian employees came via the municipalities. Today we also experience Ukrainians contacting us directly to ask about available positions because they have heard from others that Phoenix Denmark is a good place to work.

The best story about a workplace is not necessarily the one the company tells itself. It is the one employees pass on to others.

We see diversity as a strength. For us, social responsibility is not about awards and nominations — it must be felt in day-to-day life.
